Hubertus is an Associate Partner in McLagan’s Dubai office focusing on the Commercial & Retail Banks across Middle East and Africa. As part of his role, Hubertus recently executed a number of different Long-Term Incentive exercises.
The following list outlines some of the recent projects Hubertus has been involved in:
- Design and implementation of Fixed Pay bands, grading structures, short- & long-term incentive plans,
- Review and benchmarking of allowance structure vis-à-vis local markets,
- Alignment of banks’ compensation practices with local and international regulatory requirements
- Defining appropriate bonus pools by measuring local banks’ productivity relative to their peers in the GCC region.
Hubertus recently launched a GCC Commercial & Retail Banking productivity study and he leads the survey execution process for all Commercial & Retail Banking related business areas including Treasury and Corporate Banking.
Prior to his role in Dubai, Hubertus worked in our London office where he mainly focused on benchmarking projects and salary surveys covering all business segments from Investment & Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management and Private Equity to all Infrastructure/Support areas. Further responsibilities included building relationship with major German banks.
Hubertus holds a Bachelor of Art in Business Administration and a MBA from the Anglia Ruskin University of Cambridge, UK.
