Tariro Trust
Tariro Trust is one of the inspiring organizations and Impact Hub Harare’s first co-worker. Focused on providing educational stipends for girls, this nonprofit has empowered young girls in Zimbabwe by offering financial assistance to support their education. Tariro Trust’s impact has been amazing, allowing young women to pursue their academic goals. Impact hub harare has also hired Tariro’s famous music and dance crew at events in support of the work the non profit is doing. Impact Hub’s community and resources can foster growth for social good initiatives.
X Solar
X Solar is a green innovation startup that developed in the Impact Hub co-working space and has gone on to secure a multi-million-dollar deal. Their focus on renewable energy solutions helped them gain traction in Zimbabwe’s energy sector, where they introduced sustainable and scalable solar energy products. Their success showcases the kind of high-impact ventures that can emerge from Impact Hub’s ecosystem.
MyRunner Buses
Founded by Vusumuzi Mkhwananzi, MyRunner worked from Impact Hub harare as a bus-booking platform aimed at improving bus travel for Southern African passengers. The startup offers an all-in-one solution that enables users to book bus tickets, track buses in real-time, and manage payments securely. Since its launch, MyRunner has grown into a multi-branch fintech company, expanding its services across Zimbabwe, South Africa, and other SADC countries. The platform’s innovative approach to tackling transportation issues has earned it international recognition, including winning the Seedstars Zimbabwe competition which was hosted and brought to Zimbabwe by Impact Hub Harare and representing the country globally
InDrive Zimbabwe
Another standout member and co-worker of the Impact Hub community, InDrive Zimbabwe, is a tech startup disrupting the ride-booking sector. InDrive operates as part of the global InDrive network, offering a peer-to-peer ride-hailing service where passengers and drivers negotiate fares.
