Microworkspace

What is Microworkspace?

MicroWorkspace is a transformative 8-month technical training program designed for unemployed youth aged 18 to 30 and women from disadvantaged backgrounds in Zimbabwe. In partnership with UNDP, the Ministry of Industry, The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), and Plan International, this initiative aligns with SDGs 1, 4, and 8. The program equips participants with essential digital skills, including web optimization, content creation, and website design, enabling them to work online and earn wages. This program not only addresses unemployment but also provides valuable international work experience, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and quality education.

What people have to say

MicroWorkspace is more than just a classroom for learning; it's a vibrant community of inspiring individuals who fuel my passion and drive for coding. Through this programme, I've not only gained knowledge but also found the empowerment to apply the programming languages I've learned. This transformation has taken me from pretending to be a coder to becoming a confident and skilled developer.
The skills I gained through the MicroWorkspace program empowered me to successfully launch my own tech business. As a single mother who was previously working as a security guard, I harnessed the opportunities provided by Impact Hub Harare's MicroWorkspace program to transition into the tech industry and launch my own thriving business. This experience has truly transformed my life, and I am grateful for the support and resources that made this possible.
